So THAT'S what £20k can buy! Queen of Style Kate wows the world with 18-outfit wardrobe as she gets it right on Far East tour
The Duchess of Cambridge dressed to impressed during her recent tour of the Far East with her husband Prince William and in doing so maintained her profile as one of the world's most stylish women.
While the scandal of pictures being published of her sunbathing topless raged, Kate stepped out in 18 different elegant and demure outfits as she met locals and attended formal functions in the searing heat. The cost of her outfits ranged from a £75 dress from British High Street store Jaeger to a stunning bespoke Alexander McQueen gown, estimated to cost around £4,000. With her range of designer to independently made dresses, shoes, bags and jewellery, the Duchess' wardrobe for the nine day trip cost an estimated £20,000.
The thrifty Duchess is famous for recycling her outfits so will no doubt make use of the dresses she was seen wearing during the tour for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee at other engagements in the future. Throughout the tour which took in places including Singapore and the Soloman Islands, Kate wore her trusty LK Bennett £195 nude court shoes on several occasions, while her Russell and Bromley navy wedges and favourite clutch bags were given further outings.
